The Vault is an event in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics. It measures 90 cms (3 ft) by 120 cms (3.9 ft) and, for women, is set at a height of 125 cms (4.1 ft). The gymnast runs down the runway (3.5 m/115 ft by 100 cms/3.3 ft), hurdle onto a springboard, spring onto the vault, and land on the mat on the other side of vault, often performing twists in their air.

The current Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Olympic Vault Champion (2016) is Simone Biles of the United States.

The current Women’s Artistic Gymnastics World Vault Champion (2017) is Maria Paseka of Russia.

The current Women’s Artistic Gymnastics European Vault Champion (2018) is Boglárka Dévai of Hungary.

  • Connection of two dance elements (one of which must be a 180 degrees split)
